1. Shock is not checking properly. See Fig.5. Remove pipe plug from top of shock and check oil level. If oil is low refill with SAE No.10 oil and replace pipe plug.

    CAUTION: DO NOT OVEREFILL-USE NON-DETERGENT OIL.

    2. Shock may be out of adjustment. On left side of press locate shock and adjusting screw "Y" Loosen jam nut on adjusting screw and screw adjusting screw clockwise into the shock for one or two full turns. Retighten jam nut and test press.

    3. Shock absorber connecting rod may be too Long and the shock bottoms internally. See Fig.5.with head in open position locate shock absorber connecting rod loosen rod end jam nut. Remove nut and lockwasher from stud. Remove rod end from the stud and screw the rod end, clockwise, further on to the connecting rod. Replace rod end on stud and reassemble lockwasher and nut. Tighten nut and retighten jam nut. Test press.
